normal security checks takes 4 to 6 months from the date of start/initiation in GCMS/CAIPS
some time additionally checks are required it may again takes 3-4 months. Overall it takes 4 -12 months, exception of Bad Luck.

security check depends upon many things
your resident country such as Pakistan Afghanistan Syria takes more time,
your Travel history More countries visited more time required for security checks,
your name if name is common then takes more time
your bad luck, some time similar name or birth date is in the top list then it may takes more time.
therfore no exact timeframe is given.

Hello to all Senior members,

Sorry to hijack your thread.

I am FSW 2013 applicant. Application sent on 14h may 2013, NOC-2174, PER received 29th July 2013. File is transferred to London Visa office.

Does any any of you ever come across with any case where the applicant has submitted the job duties on co workers affidavits. Since my company policy is not to issue detailed job letter. I got 2 references from co workers on affidavits, they have mentioned my job duties with their business cards attached, with HR refusal letter to issue the detailed job letter. They have given normal experience letter mentioned so and so worked with us from this to this date, held this position.

For my current company detailed job letter is there, but experience is less than 1 year.

How the London VO is doing background checks like by calling the employer, person who has given reference letters, or how ?. as if they call my previous employer they can get the details like my salary, designation, worked for how may years but not the job duties.

Is there any chance of being rejected based on the affidavits given from co workers not by the company ?

Please share your experiences...
