LVO Applicants July 01, 2011 FSW Applicants_MI 3

@ Mr. Engineer, now and yolex,

I have few questions if u ppl can plz answer.

1)In the Generic form, we have to mention UCI for principal applicant, spouse and child. In my MR form, there is a last digit difference between the UCI's of three of us so do I mention them accordingly?

2)If we have slight changes in our new forms such as renewed passport, visit to some country then do we also have to submit any docs in support of the changes made? Bcoz the Visa Officer has ony asked for forms.

If the spouse and dependents PR is cancelled due to staying canada more than 6/12 months, whether the PA can again sponsor after a period of time?

Canadian Permanent Residents must accumulate 2 years of “residency days” in each 5-year period in order to meet their residency obligations. If the residency obligation is not met and there are no extenuating humanitarian or compassionate reasons, then the Permanent Resident may lose status. In that case, a new application for Permanent Residence would have to be submitted.

1- yes
2- depends on activity
for example renewed passport, visit to some country require no but new job you have to submit dox.

i was unemployed while filing my application. now i have a job with another occupation. shall i submit new employment documents with updated forms.
or shall i wait untill they request ??

Dear Seema,

Congrats again for your MR. I put each UCI number for each of us in the forms. Regarding the new passport I would suggest you attache a certified copy of the bio data of the new passport (like you did for the one you sent with you application). Since LVO has your older pass on file then they may want a copy of the new one for the file too, since it is a piece of identity document they need to make sure it is really the persons on the application. Besides, if they don't need it then it would not matter but if they do and you don't send then they will request later and may delay your case a bit.

Hi, You must enter the country within the validity of the PR doc (normally within 1 year) you land get passports stamped and can leave immediately and stay away for up to 3 years. You need to be in country for 2 of the 5 years to keep PR. Hope this helps. Trevor

In theory, you would not need to properly settle for 4 years after PR is granted. But you must land within the 1st year.

Dear Unni,

My colleague has landed last year in Toronto and he stayed there for 30 days only.

the one needs to stay at least 45 days to receive his and the accompanying members permanent resident cards which will be mailed to a P.O.Box inside Canada that you will be providing upon landing formalities in the airport.

but if you know someone living in Canada or you have a relative in Canada you may give them his P.O.Box address and you may leave after one week from landing date.

when this person receives your PR cards he can Mail it to u directly, then you can easily reenter to Canada. and this is what happened with my friend.

he has a brother living there and he mailed to him his PR cards after received in his brother P.O.Box

but I advice you and everyone not to leave Canada after Landing till you/ he receives his PR Cards and I advise you to reside in Canada till you get you Canadian Passports as well

I am going to do landing and stay there till I get the Canadian Passport Inshallah.

Always try to be in the safe side.

Regarding the timeline of the visas/landing,

From the date of stamping the visa on ur current passport, they will give you one year to accomplish your landing, if not you need to reapply again,

after landing, you will be given 3 or 5 years ( I am not Sure) to stay in Canada and start counting resident days to go for the canadian citizenship.

if not accomplished again you need to reapply.

Mr Engineer was referring to my case as I did not receive RPRF request as well. I also applied in October and PER was in january. I have send a CSI yesterday, you may send as well and whoever gets a reply earlier may share. I read on their website that they are facing huge problems regarding finances to pay back RPRF to the refused cases and there is some fuss around this matter. This may have caused them not to send RPRF request. It should not be selected few if that is the case.
