Yes My friends were allowed to board and they have boarded the last flight to Vancouver from frankfurt. This whole narrative/rumor that's being spread by Lufthansa's CC is incorrect, they are misinformed.
My friends asked Lufthansa's check in desk about this and they said as long as you're carrying all the documents (LOA, Enrollment Letter, POE -ve RT-PCR Covid report not older than 48 hrs before you reach Frankfurt, 72 for Canada) You'll have no problems. Furthermore, there were more than 30 students travelling to canada on their flight.
Just for reference, 3 of them had booked their tickets with Air canada and one of them had booked their ticket with MMT (Lufthansa).
