Im in the same boat. All other steps are complete except physical presence and oath. I applied early Dec 2023 and still waiting. I applied right after I completed 1095 days. It's 1096 if I exclude the days I was flying and 1105 days if I include both the days I was flying as being in Canada. Overall I am certain that I've completed 1095 days as my only travels have been via flights and it's far and few.
I reached out to the MP on September and they responded that my file has a bring forward date of Sep 26 and I should hear from IRCC soon. I got very excited, but Sep 26 came by and still no response. I reached back out to the MP and they said IRCC cannot provide any more updates and there is no longer any timeline for reviewing my application!!
Asked for gcms notes today as I don't have any other options for getting visibility into why my file is stuck.
What is the hotline number for requesting for an update via phone? I've tried one number before but it's an endless loop - haven't been able to talk to anyone in person.
Should I be worried about my application? The sad part is I had a job lined up in the US for a 1-2 year contract and I need to decline it now as I'm not sure if it's a good idea leaving the country while my citizenship is pending
Did you order GCMS notes? GCMS Notes has Lag no matter what and its not real time. I'd say
Find Members of Parliament - Members of Parliament - House of Commons of Canada (ourcommons.ca) find your MP and approach, as well as CC leader of Opposition, if its already > 6 months (current standard) Processing time.
Main aspect to note is - if you're Security and Criminality is done. If both are done and its pending verification for say I-94 from CBP, you can create an account via
https://www.securerelease.us/requests-list to request CBP FOIA - check entry/exit logs.
Also, raise CBSA ATIP if not already. I have done the same, awaiting reply. Request CSIS FOIA if needed, and normal ATIP (IRCC), which comes after 30 days or so.
When calling IRCC, Go by 1 for uci, then 3 4 1 0 +1 888-242-2100, ask agent specifically if Security and Criminality is done and ask if its Normal processing / "Routine" or "Non-routine".
Another one is time zone differences if you land from say San Jose, CA to Toronto Pearson, as the ATIP (IRCC) notes have specific time zone when its printed. Another key is if your ATIP (IRCC) states "ICES Verification pending" or "E/E" data check "inprogress" in NOTES section
