LPP Stuck on Physical Presence

I had an interview on April 15th (not really sure why, seems like lots of people doing interviews this year?) and immediately after my Prohibitions and Language were marked as complete. My Physical Presence has been stuck on "In Progress" since and I'm a bit worried! The officer checked all of my travel documents in the interview, there's nothing else I could really give them at this point. I meet the requirement for days (1136) and all of my travel info in the application is accurate.

Anyone else? Anyone know what it might be?

You can apply for GCMS notes and see if your Physical presence has gone for additional review which takes time as it goes to a senior officer. You being a Jan 2024 applicant not much time has gone in your case to cause any worry.

I am in exact same situation. February applicant, my application has been stuck on Physical Presence for a month since I gave an interview on the 23rd of May. It is really sad.

How many days of physical presence days you applied with?
Mine was 1224.5, the interesting part is that we were invited for an interview which went really well and the officer mentioned we'll receive oath ceremony invitation in about a week. My wife also submitted (not requested) her stamped passport pages as additional document, just trying to ensure that it is not contributing to the delay. Also, we haven't left Canada since we came, wonder why it is taking forever for something that simple.

It's weird, you even have good buffer days.

  1. Same experience, applied with 1110 days. I am April Applicant. L, Test, BG clear.
  2. Pending Prohibitions and Physical Presence.
  3. Called for Interview 08-Aug - Scarborough:
Officer checked all IDs, PR card, Health Card and All pages of current and prior passports.

Stated that we have two addresses on file which you've not mentioned - found that they were prior Attorney addresses. She typed something in the system then (I've also submitted a webform with clarification as well as removed the old Attorneys now via IMM 5476 representative form).

Another concern (sort of) that they stated you've submitted a lot of documents and clearly leaning towards it may take a while before decision (since I had outside Canada travel, I submitted eTickets and Boarding passes, I-94 (US) visits, T4, NOAs, Company letter, US visa related items, Prior PCCs, Prior visa letters etc). They randomly checked I-94 entries against the ones in their system. Following day, just Language got cleared. Wait begins now. I'll hold on for a month or so before GCMS i guess, since IRCC call center person also said its within 7-8 month window. Thanks!

My wife's application is in the same stage after her interview on June 12th. Asked for passport page submission request and since then radio silence. She applied in Feb mid and still no luck.

Did you order GCMS notes? I was just thinking how much time is to wait before we ask GCMS notes (which adds 30 days to generate the same)

Im in the same boat. All other steps are complete except physical presence and oath. I applied early Dec 2023 and still waiting. I applied right after I completed 1095 days. It's 1096 if I exclude the days I was flying and 1105 days if I include both the days I was flying as being in Canada. Overall I am certain that I've completed 1095 days as my only travels have been via flights and it's far and few.

I reached out to the MP on September and they responded that my file has a bring forward date of Sep 26 and I should hear from IRCC soon. I got very excited, but Sep 26 came by and still no response. I reached back out to the MP and they said IRCC cannot provide any more updates and there is no longer any timeline for reviewing my application!!

Asked for gcms notes today as I don't have any other options for getting visibility into why my file is stuck.

What is the hotline number for requesting for an update via phone? I've tried one number before but it's an endless loop - haven't been able to talk to anyone in person.

Should I be worried about my application? The sad part is I had a job lined up in the US for a 1-2 year contract and I need to decline it now as I'm not sure if it's a good idea leaving the country while my citizenship is pending

Did you order GCMS notes? GCMS Notes has Lag no matter what and its not real time. I'd say Find Members of Parliament - Members of Parliament - House of Commons of Canada (ourcommons.ca) find your MP and approach, as well as CC leader of Opposition, if its already > 6 months (current standard) Processing time.

Main aspect to note is - if you're Security and Criminality is done. If both are done and its pending verification for say I-94 from CBP, you can create an account via https://www.securerelease.us/requests-list to request CBP FOIA - check entry/exit logs.

Also, raise CBSA ATIP if not already. I have done the same, awaiting reply. Request CSIS FOIA if needed, and normal ATIP (IRCC), which comes after 30 days or so.

When calling IRCC, Go by 1 for uci, then 3 4 1 0 +1 888-242-2100, ask agent specifically if Security and Criminality is done and ask if its Normal processing / "Routine" or "Non-routine".

Another one is time zone differences if you land from say San Jose, CA to Toronto Pearson, as the ATIP (IRCC) notes have specific time zone when its printed. Another key is if your ATIP (IRCC) states "ICES Verification pending" or "E/E" data check "inprogress" in NOTES section

3-4 months is the average time when CBP responds to IRCC i guess, but can be longer or shorter based on individual cases, per folks on this forum. Its all internal and there is no way to know for us what's cooking behind the scene
