Hello guys,

I submitted my EOI last May with CRS of 413. Due to exceptionally high CRS I lost all hopes and did not follow any draw or news until yesterday when one of my friend informed me that CRS has fallen to a new low of 413. He got the ITA with 434.

There is a new ray of hope. How many of you think that there is a chance for CRS to fall at or below 413?

Anyone with optimistic stats to motivate me ?

From what I've seen so far the more "week to week" draws with no break they do means a score of 413 could be a possibility if they are doing 3 draws a month.

There's a lot of stats in the ray of hope thread.

I wouldn't give up hope with a score of 413 just don't expect to be in any time soon.

Personally I feel that they are trying to keep it floating around the 430 mark, if there's another draw next week that will be very interesting to see what happens.

Did you follow the news about the recent changes in the system from June 6th where you can get extra points for a sibling in Canada and being a Francophone?

Unfortunately I have no sibling in Canada nor I can speak French.

I disagree with you. looking at the stats, there is no reason to believe that CIC wants to keep scores at 430s. I strongly believe, the scores shud drop below 400 very soon if the number of ITAs per draw and 2 draws per month continue.

There has been a deduction of approx. 6-10 points every month. If they follow this same pattern then you should be able to reach the CRS cut off by 5 to 6 months or even less. (which is not too long) .

What was your IELTS score ? If there are chances to improve them, then your CRS score can increase drastically in just one go. :)

I am chartered accountant with roughly 4 years of experience, aged 27. I got the educational assessment done from WES for two degrees so claiming points on these basis.

Well I could have increased my score via IELTS, but i appeared thrice and this writing portion effed me over. I think I have been robbed of marks in IELTS test. I did not get it remarked and cannot appear again due to financial difficulties. My IELTS score were R:8.5 L:9 S:8 & W: 6.5.

So just hoping against hope that CRS falls, at around 410 level.

When did you last take it, I got 6.5 for writing with similar scores to you in others. I would look at some tuition or ask for a re-mark if you still have time (which I doubt)

Based upon what?

The scores have not dipped below 430 yet so there is no evidence to say that they will.

What you have said there, ITA's stay the same and 2 draws per month, explain why then on the previous draw it increased by 7 points?

I have nothing to prove it will drop 100% I was just offering my opinion.

What you have put is factually incorrect based on the evidence we have to lead to a drop below 400.

I appeared for IELTS in March last year. So it has been about a year now. Actually I don't have any job atm, so it is really difficult for me to reappear. That's why only a low CRS can save me.

Like I said, I wasn't expecting until the CRS stopped falling continuously and now I am getting too anxious.

Its the first case I've seen with (W)ritten being lower than other three modules, you must have faltered in the map/data reading section.

There is no science to understand the draw scores, but taking the trend into consideration, its not irrational to say that the scores shall come down- let's say till 424 or so in coming month.

The CRS went up last time as the draw was not consistent, plus, CIC also sent ITAs to the deserving 400+ score holders. This must have definitely added to the threshold.

No to forget, the 'LOCAL SIBLING' scores shall come into effect from 6th June, and then, the scores shall once again look soaring.

I am here to motivate you. Here is the thing. Wait for some time and get organized for IELTS. Gather some funds (2 - 3 months) and practice speaking really hard. In anyways your profile is in the pool, if you get ITA well and good, otherwise take another IELTS.

I don't want to suggest any bad feeling for the future, but the thing is: with new system in place by June 6th, Many people would claim more points, and Imagine if these were the candidates who were stuck at 410 (that is your level), they will get a push and subsequently increasing cut off. What I said could be a total rubbish, I wish it is and you could get ITA.

My Advice, do not rest, and ask for the system to adapt to yourself. Your credentials are great, take another leap into the IELTS and write us back in couple of month telling us tha tyou have 460+.

Good luck and don't give up on IELTS..

based on this, scores should not have dropped to 431 as they never dropped below 450s or 460s or 480s depending on timeframe you are willing to go back to.

What you have said there, ITA's stay the same and 2 draws per month, explain why then on the previous draw it increased by 7 points?
last draw had a gap of 27 days. not 2 weeks. Also, an effect of PNPs.

Same here. only that we both have opinions 180 degrees apart from each others.

What you have put is factually incorrect based on the evidence we have to lead to a drop below 400.
Analysing the snapshot of EE pool published by CIC, it is just a matter of time for scores to drop below 400.
