low points in express entry

Hi,

I want to apply for someone using express entry but the points which shows up are around 370, He is applying from out of canada. I saw that the last draw was closed on 491. I see it next to impossible for him to get points near to 490.

Does this mean that for these kinds of people ( education from outside canada, experience from outside canada, no job offer from canada), it is almost impossible to apply for canadian immigration? There are a few provincial nomination programs but again do they also consider people who have canadian experience, canadian education or they can accept someone with points like 360 or 370 .

so in case we try to get in using PNP, we will need to find a privoncial scheme which offers immigration without a valid job offer? as there are provinces offering immigration with a valid job offer only.

Then even though they dont need a valid job offer do you think this value 360 or 370 can be lucky to get in? or there might be other bunch of people with a score lower than 490 but more than 450 I guess...

If i'm not mistaken Ontario requires you to have at least 400 points, dunno about other provinces though.

but i saw on other post that people who applied under Ontario with score of 450 are waiting for the last 1 year..

Still waiting for it to process/ closed the scheme before they could apply. You need a PNP but most if not all are closed at the moment.

Does it makes any sense to have points around 370 and then put a profile on Express entry system and then wait for any province to open the scheme which can do immigration without job offer?

The reason why I am asking is that if its not at all practical then why waste time and money in making ECA reports and doing IELTS, submitting all the stuff and paying EE fees.

Hard one, individual pnps have specific requirements. Last year Ontario's was anyone over 400 points. Put the application up,sure, but try and bump those points up or get an lmia

do you know a way to get a lima? actually i live in canada and i am trying to do for my brother who has a good education - he is a tax officer in his home country and has a ACCA... maybe I can work around something for him here. do you have any tips or tricks ?

I think you can only get beyond 400 points if you have something canadian.. education/work experience, he has neither one of these

No tips and tricks. You find an employer who is willing to go through the paperwork process and apply for him. The lmia is quite strict and can take a few months.

Me as a worker in one organization cant do this for sure.. will need to find some employer who is willing to do it .. or maybe there are employers willing to do a fake lima for some money.. i mean they can process the lima but they wont hire that person, the lima will only be counted as a PR.

If you can find an employer who can fake an lmia then well done. When the company applied they are called,checked,and have to have proof they interviewed Canadians...

Not accurate. There are many outland applicants including myself with zero canadian education or work experience who are above 400

What are his IELTS scores? That may be the bottleneck

No I am in Ontario express entry with 360 so he will be fine with 360, but need to increase it cause he wont get picked from the pool
