Hi, I am PR of Canada. I want to sponsor my wife and daughter under family class. My net income from April 21, 2014 to April 20, 2015 is $16000 [including option C printout income of year 2014 and my pay stubs of the year 2015 until April 20]. But I have a full time job. My job letter states that I am working since Feb 04, 2015, full time with hourly wages $12/hour. My current cheques are between $ 1200 and 1300 biweekly. Am I eligible to sponsor my wife and daughter or my income should be high?

There are no income requirements to meet to sponsor your spouse or your daughter, so your current job is fine and you shouldn't have an issue.

Since you noted that you are a PR yourself, were you married when you landed in Canada, and if so, did you declare your wife and/or child (if born yet) before landing?

Thanks Alurra71...I immigrated to Canada as a Federal skilled worker in May 2011. My ex-wife came with me, I was the principal applicant at that time. Now divorced with ex-wife and no children from ex-wife. No other family member for whom I am responsible financially.

Then you, in theory, should not have any issues sponsoring your current spouse and child to come and live with you in Canada.

I suspect your application will receive some close scrutiny due to the fact you landed in Canada married to someone else and now are remarried with a child since that time and looking to have your new spouse immigrate. Be sure that you are VERY CLEAR about the progression of your previous relationship to your new relationship and that you include quality proofs. The key is to minimize how hard they look at that application to find a reason to try and deny you.

Good luck.

The point that I was trying to make is that when you immigrated to Canada in 2011 you brought your then wife with you as a dependent.

It is now only 2015 (4 years) and you wish to sponsor a NEW spouse and a child.

Immigration will want a very close look at this situation because of the short timeline and the fact that you did immigrate 4 years ago with a different spouse.

You will just need to be sure that you can assuage their doubts before they know they had doubts. Be sure to be clear about everything and give them good proofs and you'll be OK, I think.
