Low Academics? GAP ? SDS/General Canada Student Visa

Everyone with low academics, please stop your worry that your visa might get refused.

Let me eloborate this with a few points.

1)If a canadian institute has accepted you, It means that they have done a fair assessment of your academic credentials and after careful consideration reached a decision of offering you a place after finding you academicallyeligible. You have to bear in mind that your language ability is necessarily not part of your academics so lets keep IELTS separate from academics here and as such Canadianimmigration has no set thumb rule or a fixed %age of marks to be considered while granting a visa, for instance lot of people particularly the so called education consultants will scare you by telling you because your %age is below 50% or 60% so your chance of getting a visa are meek, i have also heard people talking about a requirement of 50% or 60% to apply under SDS or previously under SPP streams, CIC has no such requirement let everyone be clear about that.
  1. Currently under SDS the eligibility criteria is 6 bands each +CAD 10000 GIC+ Medical upfront +LOA(from a DLI)+and first year full tution fee payment you meet these criterias and you are 100% eligible to get a visa.
  2. Now what happens is after the VO finds you eligible ,s/he has to be convinced that your purpose of visit to canada is inline with the visa category you have applied for and in this case that being a student visa, the VO will look at your previous education (work experience if you are not a fresher) relevance of previous education to the proposed education in canada , your expected outcome of the study and your plans after you finish your study, furthermore your ties to your home country are very importantly you must convince the VO that you will not overstay your visa (This can be explained by underlining the prospect of your canadain study in your home country as part of your career prospects, additionally this can also be conveyed by talking about your parents back home, properties back home, or a prospective job offer etc.(please note if you have previous travel history to first world countries like USA,UK,EUR,AUS,NZ etc that too helps a great deal because that suggests to the VO that you have honoured your previous visas and your may be trusted to do the same again, although a lot of people might tell you that this might not necessarily be true)
All this put together is what gets you a canadian study visa “even” with low academics which is never a requirement.

How do I know this??:My own experience, fulfilled all SDS requirements,Academics very low bachelors 51% Masters 47% and mostly less than 50% marks in all subjects,7 years of work experience which again is a big confusion among people that consider it a GAP, no its not a gap so please stop calling it that.No agent accepted my profile, prepared my file on my own,

Applied my visa on 25th Feb 2019 and got my visa on 6th March 2019.

Note:This is only for student who sincerelywants to study in canada for other nothing won’t work.

Good Luck everyone!!

REFUSED MAINLY ON THE BASIS OF LOW ACADEMIC SCORES: {GCMS Report: Not likely studies given such a weak academic background. App is an unlikely candidate for foreign studies} 10th76%,12th70%,B.com 59%(4 backlogs cleared in the next chance}

Had 3 student visa refusals for Canada student visa

1. First,2017 Nov refused.
Visa officer's remarks: Rejection reasons.
( ● Considering previous academic performance, the applicant's language ability in specific bands, relevance of the proposed course of study and taking in to account factors such as , personal, establishment and ties to home country, on balance Iam not satisfied that the applicant would be a bona fide student in Canada and depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for stay. So refused.)

My profile during first visa filing :
10th 76%, 12thCommerce70%,
(Bachelor Of Commerce (Travel&Tourism) 2013-16 'D' grade 59.48%(4back logs)
IELTS :5.5,6,6,6 (ovrall 6)< Improved

Applied for(IBM) International Business Management in Flemming College,Ontario.CA
(Graduate 1 year Diploma).
Got refused !

2. Second attempt: , Improved my IELTS score with overall 6 (6.5,6,6,6) no bands less than 6.< improved

Applied in Nova Scotia CA ,CBU for 2year course (ug level) Diploma in Public Administration and Management

refusal reason ;
(●Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more: )
GCMS Report; App has weak academic background and low IELTS results. Not likely studies given such a weak academic background. App is an unlikely candidate for foreign studies. I am not satisfied on balance that the applicant is a bona fide intending student.

3. Refilled with same docs.
Again rejected for the third time . Reasons ; (I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection....Based on your purpose of your visit.)
●Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, language abilities,or your future prospects and plans.)
GCMS Report, PA has weak academic background , evidence of relatively weak language proficiency provided. App is an unlikely candidate for foreign studies. Not a logical progression of studies given such a weak academic background .

# Now I have IMPROVED my IELTS scores to 6.5 ( L 7.0 ,R 7.0, S 6.5, W 6.0 ) and looking to apply for a PG program. Could I get Visa for the fourth time?
How to justify low marks in academics?

Maybe clarify how you are linking Travel and Tourism with the IBM course given that is one common theme for rejection each time. How will this improve your prospects in your hone country

Travel&Tourism was my specialization during my Bachelor Of Commerce. My agent misguided to take irrelevant programs! Now looking forward to took PG in Business/Tourism hospitality.

Sir please help me also in getting my visa! As I'm refused one time from.canadian embassy my profile is
10th cbse- 70% (2017-2018)
12th arts- 64.8% (2018-2019)
(Subjects in 12th are economics 51% , political science 76%, english 60%, fine arts 78%, physical education 58%)
When i applied for study permit for first time for November intake 2019 in cdi college montreal for financial management course then i got refused only (because of reason low language test result so i think that you are not bonafide student who will be successful in study of program). my ielts score was overall 6 but 5.5 in speaking only.
After that i improved my ielts and now i scored overall 6.5 with no less than 6 and now I'm applying for centennial college for may intake for( hospitality - hotel operations management) course.... I hope that this time i have chosen relevant and right course? Even i asked my agent to write a strong sop as well. So suggest me chances of visa this time according to my profile and also tell me that have i chosen the right course or not??
Looking for your kind response!!

I have 7 year study gap but working in my field and I can justify my gap. I applied for Montreal under graduate program but my visa got rejected as the VO not satisfied that I'll leave Canada after my study plus according to him. The program was not relevant according to my academics and employment history. I scored 6.5 bands not then 6 but my agent told me the reason for refusal of my file is that I have weak academics and it is the only reason my file rejected. Should I give it another try for student visa with better particulars and does my academic is really poor it's like 48% in B.A. and 49% in LLB. Since my last study of llb I am in practice and my bar association will give it on writting that I am practicing as an advocate sinc my academic. I GIC is already stands deposited at Canada and I can show funds of 11 to 12 lac apart from my GIC.

Your views will be highly grateful

Order GCMS notes. So you applied for an undergraduate program...in what If you have a BA and LLB? Your grades are really poor. Hopefully you applied to a public school and not a private school especially the ones under investigation. Weak academics is one reason but you are a lawyer so the program needs to help your career in your home country.
