if anyone knows if the provident funds count towards bank balance ?

If I get money from my father as gift, can I use it? in that case how to proof?
wont they consider my last month salary as proof of fund ? i always save good amount of money after my monthly expenditure ?

>>>> They will always suspect this gift from father, family agreement for partition of property will be all right.
>>>>> Bank statement should be of 6 months- not one month or last salary. Last month's salary as POF will be all right.

Yes, PF is all right, it should be supported by 6-12 months a/c statement and department's forwarding letter, so that Visa Office can verify it if required.

I am assuming both saving accounts and long-term (timely) accounts are acceptable as proof of funds. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yes it is accepted , If it is not too hard to get i would suggest that you get a letter from the Provident company that the money is available to you when you leave the country. Some countries don't let you touch the money till you are 55 whereas others let you take it with you when you leave for good. It would save on time if a VO ever asks for it

Property evaluation:

We accept evaluations of your real estate made by a licensed agency. With the evaluation, enclose a notarized photocopy of the ownership certificate for your property. Please note that evaluations for real estate co-owned with third parties or with family members not accompanying you to Canada cannot be accepted as proof of settlement funds. A certified translation of the documents into English or French is required.

Even though it is Moscow Visa Office it applies to other Visa Offices too.

Does evaluation of land property by licensed agency along with notarized ownership certificate can be used as supportive to POF? What is indicating by licensed agency?

Hi Tom,

Dear Munni
at visa specific document
SETTLEMENT FUNDS
Refer to the "Proof of Funds" section of our Web site for exact figures and instructions.
Provide proof of unencumbered and readily transferable funds in a convertible currency available for settlement in Canada (for you and your family members):
•current bank certification letter; or
•evidence of savings balance; or
•fixed or time deposit statements.

but on proof of fund section on website it mentioned as below

How much money should you bring?
Find out how much it costs to live where you are planning to settle in Canada.

Bring as much money as possible to make moving and finding a home in Canada easier.

Disclosure of funds
If you are carrying more than C$10,000, tell a Canadian official when you arrive in Canada. If you do not tell an official, you may be fined or put in prison. These funds could be in the form of:

•cash
securities in bearer form (for example, stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills) or
•negotiable instruments in bearer form (for example, bankers’ drafts, cheques, travellers’ cheques or money orders).

in the EG7 Guide page no 30 .

it clearly mentioned that

Funds
Indicate the amount (in Canadian dollars) of unencumbered, transferable and available funds that you have. This amount can include the value of any property that you own, but should not include jewellery, cars or other personal assets.

Well noted & undrestood.....
