I'm planning to fly out on Monday and found out I. lost my work permit.
so I called rainbow bridge border crossing and the agent said I'd have no problem with coming back to Canada bc permit does have nothing to do with entering Canada as long as I have valid eta. and I thought my eta is expired because I didn't recall I updated my eta so I applied it again.
So I was like okay, great and later on, I realized my eta was extended because of my work permit and i didn't know about it so my status said my original eta is invalid. but then they didn't update my new eta yet. I'm assuming it takes 72hours to update it and it hasn't passed 72hours. so it's fine? but it got so complicated.
and I wanted to triple check so I called the border service again to make sure I'm okay, and they said it's not a good idea and can't guarantee that I can come back w/o having work permit. So I'm about to apply replacement today and trying to show the proof that i applied my permit replacement then i hope it's okay? but i'm worried about my eta as well. It's so complicated and stressful. and the IRCC office doesn't take any calls
