Hello there,

Just wondering if anyone has experience with lost PR cards but successful still completing your oath ceremony?! I have my oath on the 16th. The instructions state that you have to cut PR, however if you don’t have a card then to fill out the Solemn Declaration form and send to IRCC asap. I lost my PR in 2014 when I was a minor, was not aware that I had to file a police report which was not done. And my mother never reapplied for my PR. I tried when I turned 18 however the application was sent back because we do not have a travel document - passport from birth country.
So I sent the form to them stating all this information. Anyone know if not having a PR for the oath is okay? Also I did state all this important on my citizenship application too not just the solemn declaration.

I should also add that I am a PR from 2001. So I do have the IMM 1000 landing record. Which needs to be written not valid anymore during oath. So I hope that is enough for the oath as I don’t have a PR card
