Lost PR card and PRTD denied

Hi, I arrived in the country the 24th of July 2016 with my little sister, she has gotten her PR CARD along with a letter saying that she needs to take back two photos and mail them to the office. I faxed a letter to office regarding my PR card and up to this day I haven't heard or get any letter regarding my card. I would like to go and visit my family in Jamaica so I need it

Sorry, I could not understand why he did not meet the RO.

Did he meet the residency obligation at the time he applied for the PRTD?

If it's from 2011 to 2016, then I don't think so. He met the RO from 2010 to 2015 and then lived oversea for another year

2010 to 2015 is no longer relevant. The only important dates are the 5 years immediately preceding the app for PRTD.

You must meet the residency obligation to get a PR Card.

If you have been a permanent resident for five (5) years or more
* you must have been physically present in Canada for a minimum of 730 days within the past five (5) years.

* you must show that you will be able to meet the minimum of 730 days of physical presence in Canada within five (5) years of the date you became a permanent resident.

In the past 5 years (2011-2016), your father lived in Canada from 2011-2015 as a PR. He did meet the minimum 730 days requirement, and was also granted a new PR card.

He didn't say he lived in Canada from 2011-2015. He met RO for 2010-2015. 2010 would have fallen off by now and can no longer be counted. Depending on the time spent in Canada from 2011 until the replacement card was ordered, he may be short of days already, despite the 2020 renewal date. It's based on the date a replacement card was applied for.

As an example: Landed January 2010, left January 2011: 365 days, Returned January 2014, applied for replacement card February 2015: 365 days plus; Total 730 days+
-Left May 2015 after new card (January 2014-May 2015): 516 days, lost card and applied for renewal 2016: the previous 5 years (2011-2016) total would be short 200ish days for RO.

That's my take on it........It's all about timing.
