Lost passport

Hello,

I came as a student from India. I Got my work permit recently. So i wanted to apply for work visa but in between I lost my passport and I'm confused that what to do with this situation.

I will apply for the new passport but do i need my study visa details to apply for the work visa, which was in my old passport whicbut my study visa was expired already. Or I can directly apply for the work Visa with the new passport? Help me

Did u report lost passport to CIC and Indian Embassy? Also do u have a copy of your old passport? All these will be important to request a new visa.
Also consult a lawyer or consultant related to this
