I am in Canada on holiday but have lost my passport! As a dual citizen I have another passport from a different country that is valid for travel. Is it possible to simply leave on my second passport or go to an office to have it stamped? Or is the second passport not an option at all?

PLEASE HELP!

yes you can use your other passport to leave canada. i dont think you need to get it stamped, and i dont believe immigration would stamp it if you are already in canada. you dont go through immigration when exiting canada, you will go through immigration when re-entering your home country, and i don't think they will care if you have a stamp or not.

Ok that's what I've been hearing. Thanks so much for the reply and help

Please let us know if it worked out. I heard stories that they do check for visa in the passport on leaving to make sure that the leaving person was not in Canada illegally.
