Hello everyone, I have every document except for the last T4 from my current company. I was told that I could get the T4 from CRA but I am confused here: Do I have to contact CRA and get a print copy from them, OR I could print the T4 webpage from my account information?

Thanks for your help in advance!

You can call them. They will send copies in regular mail.

Correct. Make sure you know your SIN and have your tax return documents handy as they
ask for some information to check your identity.

They take forever though to send it can take anywehere between 4-8 weeks sometimes even longer. When i called them they told me its easier to get it from your employer .

Hello sabidhawan, I called earlier today they said it will be in 10 business days... we will see, if i don't receive it i will probably go with my employer, but the later one will also take a long time :(

Is it T4 or the notice of assessment you are looking for ?

For T4 : You may contact the employer, or the payroll agency or their website and re-download it.
For notice of assesmnet : You have to contact CRA.

Ineither case, did you try login to CRA website (i.e., if you had a CRA MyLogin account already. If not try that as well. It may take a week or so to get it activated. But it's worth it.)

You should be able to print the T4 and the NOA form the CRA website. I don't see any reason why that would not be accepted by CIC, since they don't require original documents in any case, just photocopies.

Agreed, was gonna say the same but when I checked my CRA account I couldn't find an option to print
the T4 or NOA. Couldn't even find a document on that website that looked even closely like the T4 my
employer sent me.

Not sure why your NOA would not be available (unless it's your first one and it isn't processed yet). As for the T4, employers have the option of submitting electronically, or on paper. If the employer submits electronically, the T4 should be available on the CRA website. If it's not, then your employer probably prepared it on paper. In that case you should call your employer first; if that goes no where, call the CRA.

I'm not the OP, only tried to find a solution. Anyhow, I got my T4 electronically and already received my NOA, so should be available.
Maybe I just can't find it, however, hopefully the OP gets lucky and finds the required documents.
