Dear Good People,

Please recently I discovered that my marriage certificate is missing.

What do I do if the CIC ask for it? Any other way out?

Seniors, PMM any other person please help I need solid advise.

Regards,

Why don't you go to the govt. registry to see if you can get a certified true copy of the document. In the event that, that is not possible please go to the magistrate court to swear to an affidavit.

You can apply for the duplicate copy of the same by mentioning regd.no. alongwith date of issuing .If issued by any Indian registrer ,Marriages, then you can also get the copy of the same under Right to information act .

Hi There

Depending on where you got married you can obtain a copy of the original or replacement, for example in a church/ Registery office you can apply the the district registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages or the court where your licence was granted, you have to complete the forms and submit fee and in most cases you will be issued a new certificate.

I hope this helps
