Greetings to all kind members of this site!!!

scenario;
I have lost my job 2 months back. I have been working for 5+ years on this job and that is the one I have applied with under NOC for Canada immigration. Now I am in a difficulty to finding a new job on the same trade.
How ever, I have submitted my application on 2007 and I have received a notification from CHC asking to pay landing fees.

problems;
1) Will loosing the job affect my case? How long will I get to find a new job? or How long I can be safe without a job having no effect on my case?
2) Will changing the trade of applied NOC to a different category affect my case?
3) I haven't informed CHC about this scenario, will that affect? if it does how? what are my chances?

Please help. Any advice from you is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

How ever, I have submitted my application on 2007 and I have received a notification from CHC asking to pay landing fees.

problems;
1) Will loosing the job affect my case? (No) How long will I get to find a new job?(Never Know) or How long I can be safe without a job having no effect on my case? ( You require one year full time, continous, and paid experience in the last ten years, in the occupation category identified in the Ministrial Instructions. So, after loosing your job, you are supose to be safe for ten years) However, refer to page 4 of EG7000 Applicatation Category for your further understandings)
2) Will changing the trade of applied NOC to a different category affect my case? I think it should not. But wait for opinions of other seniors as well.3) I haven't informed CHC about this scenario, will that affect? (You maut inform the CHC about this change) Not informing may affect your case if it does how? what are my chances?

Please help. Any advice from you is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I am not expert but do reccommend you for indepth study of EG7000 Guide, as it the best source to get valid information.

Manzoor's reply is pretty good and I agree with it.

You also mentioned that they have requested you to pay for RPRF already. Have u submitted medical and is it approved? If so, you don't have to wait much longer to get the visa stamped in your PP.

I suggest to send a letter to CHC, Colombo with your file number as reference, mentioning that you have lost your job and attach a copy of the letter you recieved from your employer (if it says you have been laid off). If you are in the last stage of the process, I don't think it will delay your application much. Layoffs are so common these days!

Pls note that CHC Colombo has moved to a new location since September 2009.

Thanks So much windtunne!

I think I have to send a letter to CHC Colombo. Though they called for Landing Fee Payment, they did not call me for a medical. A bit surprising for me.

Thank so much for all comments.

hi, i dnt think u need to worry abt it as CIC s criteria is not to ve a current job but to pass the 67 mark which u ve already done.Recently London office granted visa to an applicant who did not ve any current job.
