Wondering if any body informed CEC after loosing the job....? Did it affect the application ? Is there any one who sucessfully got PR after loosing job while in processing time

It shouldn't affect because you can apply even after you leave the Country, don't worry about your application and focus on get a new job, your Canadian Experience and Language ability are already in your application and it is what is assessed (your occupations within the 3 years preceding the date your application). You must inform if you change your address or any change in your civil status

I will go through the same thing soon, but in my case I will quit my job and I was asking for help here as well and someone quote the AOR letter and I will do the same with you.

Please inform the visa office of any changes in your application (e.g. birth or adoption of a child, marriage or common-law relationship, new occupation or employer, change of address, change of e-mail address, change of immigration representative, etc). Please include a letter identifying what the changes are and any relevant supporting documents. If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the originals.

So, yes, if I was you I would inform them!

I'm in the same position...except I had a fixed term contract with a gov agency, who couldnt renew me due to budget restraints. I'm also adamant to notify them, but will do it, so as to not give them a reason to reject my application based on a technicality! Hopefully it doesnt have an impact.

Mine concluded recently....but I'm waiting for my NOA, so I can send as one package.

Well....I dont think loosing job can be criteria for it....They only asked for change of occupation not in case of lossing job

No, they ask to be informed of "any changes" and gave some EXAMPLES.

its been 4 month now...so i guess no point of calling them now..when i am so close to get my medicals

I don't think it will be a reason for rejection. I had to leave Canada and I never informed CIC. I have already completed my medicals.

They just want to know your "current" state.... that means "did u get married? or had a child? or changed ur religion? etc etc".

Your job status won't matter to the application..But lets say the officer, tries to contact your (ex)employer, and finds out you don't work there anymore...that may put a negative impact on ur application. The officer may think you have lied about the job info. CEC stream only needs your job experience + your job type, to be eligible... it does not need your current state of work.... If you were applying in PNP stream, then it would matter I believe. Because PNP stream, relies heavily on employers and ur work status.

As pointed out it won't have a negative impact on your application as cec is based on historical work experience. None the less, they ask to be notified of any changes - so just notify then. It would be far easier if we just do as they ask instead of debating it in detail trying to determine what we think they want.

They don't say provide notice of the following changes. They say provide notice of any changes And give some examples!

Notifying them will have no negative impact on your application.
