Lost Indian Passport with Canadian Visitor Visa in US

Hi,

I have lost my Indian passport with Canadian visitor visa(valid till 2022) in US. I have a police complaint filed and using that police case #, I got new Indian passport.

1. I would like to know whether I can request for re-issuing Canadian Visitor Visa?
2. Do I need to inform Canadian Consulate about lost passport with Canadian visitor Visa.

Any help is appreciated.

This does not apply for the replacement of a TRV.

The OP will have to submit a TRV application along with a copy of the police report which states the passport was lost.... and an explanation/any other evidence for this
