lost expired cancelled Indian passport

Hi all, I have lost my old expired cancelled passport and the immigration office is asking for both my new and old passports for PR application.What should I do ? I dont have any visa on my old passports.Please help .Thank you

Thank you for writing back.
They sent me a letter asking me to submit both my old and current passports along with the police clearance and landing fee.This is for a spousal sponsorship.

Oh sorry, I thought this was for parent sponsorship, if you don't have it - then you can't recreate it Did you have lot of travel history?

You have no copies either?

No I have not travelled anywhere using that passport.And I figured I wont be able to file a lost complain to the police as it was already cancelled

Hm,, well just write as it is - misplaced and since no history/visa, wasn't keen to retrieve as you had current passport. It's an honest answer
