lost bank card pls urgent advice seniors

I just applied 3 days ago to cio using my wife's debit card to pay but unfortunately she lost her card today now what shall I do???pls guide me

Can you call your wife's Bank and tell them to cancel the card but authorise the x amount you sent to CIO?

You can ask them to cancel that card and send you the new one and this will not effect your payment as remaining things will be the same like card number and expiry date. BUT if they change the card number then unfortunately CIC wont be able to debit your card and will ask you to give payment information again.

They will ask you for the payment and will give you 30 days to send new payment form.

try to ask you bank, its unlikely that they will re-issue same number card because if that's the matter than there no way to protect you from unauthorized use of stolen or lost card. Tow things can happen in this scenario, they will send back whole application with request of a new payment method, i.e, new card or check etc OR they will send you payment request only. I am more sure about second option, where you will to send back just new card information or recommended method, a check.

I am going through similar circumstances as the credit card number which I gave to CIO to charge was declined by the issuer bank as their authorization system was not working properly. the charge was referred back to CIO. I am also hoping that they may try to charge the card again (As I am informed that the error on part of bank is rectified) or CIO may inform to send the payment form again...not sure which option they would go with.

There has to be some contact details for us to contact with CIO in such situations rather than keeping fingures crossed for months and then have conclusion.

As far as I know you can only pay by Credit Card or DD. Debit Card would anyway have been declined.
I would suggest you send a letter immediately giving reference of your application sent earlier with a new Fee payment form filled with either the Credit Card or DD details & tell them to ignore the earlier sent fee payment form (IMM5620E).

Debit card payments are deducted from your account instantly....check ur account...& withdraw balance amount. then after 10/15 days apply for new one....simple

it was a visa debit card and i was confirmed by few members that it will be accepted anywhere as like as credit card.But it is risky to wait to cancel because any one can use the card for purchase,so already cancelled.My application has just been received to CIO.If I send another payment form would CIO be able locate my application and attach this with that???

Apparantly misery loves company. I am in the same boat as you. I have lost my credit card and have blocked it.
Any updates on your applications and any advise for me since you have gone through the same?

Hi fellows! just an update..

Had my application pack returned last week with a note from CIO that the payment could not be through due to some issue with credit card provided.
I had the application re sent with fresh payment form enclosing CAD$ DD this time.
