Hi,
On entering Canada last year through the US border, I was issued a departure order for failing to meet RO. I appealed and my hearing is in August. However, on second thought I am wondering whether I should withdraw the appeal because I still leave outside of Canada and do not foresee any move to Canada in the near future. On the other hand, I have ties in Canada such as ownership of apartment, bank accounts, have been paying taxes since becoming a resident, children and grand-children living in Canada. Can that play in my favor in the appeal? What are the implications of either option? Withdraw appeal or go to trial with the risk of losing?
