Hi All,

***

Have a few questions:

1) Do I have to update her home address to the LA Visa Office and tell them her new address will be Canada? Reason I ask is that the documents Ive seen seem to indicate the sponsor has to, but not clear about the applicant?

2) Do I risk prolonging the application by updating her address to a Canadian address?

3) How did people receive COPR notifications? Does the sponsor or applicant receive it, and is that done by email? We had asked that my wife's primary form of notification be done by email.

Thanks

DTH
Hey,DTH--I would definitely update her address with CIC and with the L.A. Visa Office. They will mail the COPR to her, and you'll want it at the right address. I'm from a visa-exempt country and didn't receive any notification that COPR had been approved. It arrived in the U.S. via certified mail--glad hubby was home to sign for it!

Thanks Lawgrrl. So you just received the COPR in the mail in the US without an update by email or on ECAS? My concern with updating to a Canadian mailing address is that they transfer the file to Canada and we end up waiting longer. We have the ability to just change her mailing address to her work address (who can forward to Canada), and change her home address to her parents. I am just trying to minimize any complications here especially now there is a strike!

Few things to ask:

How to print the Skype calls log? I tried but I don't see any option.
How to print the timeline from face book? I am trying to print the pictures with upload dates.

Any other suggestions for relationship proofs?

Thanks all

Have a great Canada Day weekend.

Hi all,

Thanks for your help.
Does somebody have sample support letter? GMCS notes for my husband says that my husband is on F1 student visa for 7 years and they doubt who is supporting him. I asked my father in law to write a letter. Can someone please help? He asked me to provide the sample letter and then he can go to the lawyer if needed.

Thank you

hii everyone

I just want to let you guys know that I landed to canada on the 25th of June with no problem ..

thanks for the help and advise everyone... ;) :) :) ;D ;D

I thought LA was processing our application. Received a request for updated tax assessments for 2012 and a photocopy of my wife's passport from the Ottawa office. Now ECAS says wife's application is in process. Fingers Crossed we are almost approved.....

Hi all,

We have an interview in August. They wont cancel it because of the strike right?

It's possible, but I don't think LA was one of the offices being impacted by the labour action.
