Hi parker,

I just got my passport back today!! Yayy!! :D

Date of issue (CoPR & Stamp): Dec 7th 2012
Passp Received: Dec 20th 2012
Landing: Soon, maybe Dec 28th 2012 :)

Hi InnaC,

Congratulations to you.

The CIC office had received my passport on Nov 8th and my ecas status changed to decision made on 10th December.

I am still waiting for my passport. what kind of mail did they use to send your passport?

Hi Parker, after getting the MP's office involved, they finally assigned my case to an officer for review. I am continuing to being patient but will continue to follow up with emails on the case! It's kind of sad what happened with the Buffalo applicants but nothing we can do. Just keep pushing along as it will span over 3 yrs now with 2013 just around the corner. Fingers crossed hopefully everyone hears soon on their case.

Hi HDappicant,

Thanks ^_^

I included a return envelope (express mail - US only - USPS) along with my passport, and they sent my passport back with that envelope.
I believe this option is applicable only for people residing in the US., if you are not in the US, they will use First Class mail (USPS) to return passports which takes longer
up to 2-3 weeks.

Yours should be arriving soon :)

Hi Parker,

I got the my PPR email on Dec 5th!!! My husband and I were ecstatic . I just wanted to thank everyone on this forum. Reading all the posts really helped me get through this lengthy process. I sent my passport in on the Dec 12th and now just waiting patiently. Good luck to everyone still waiting and happy holidays!

Husband landed on December 30th. The Sweetgrass Montana/Alberta border was dead, we were on our way in 20 minutes. He flew back to Tucson yesterday, though. We didn't have the time or finance to move him here in the 3 weeks he had to land.

We're excited to report that after almost 10 months, we've received the passport request from LA. I had sent another angry letter to the Minister of Immigration's office on October 5th and they replied this morning with an update. About 2 hours later, we received the passport request. We've sent it..now just waiting for the COPR...hopefully it won't take too long, but after all this, we're not holding our breath!

Wahoo! Hubby's passport got lost in the mail, but after bitching to USPS and Canada Post, they found it and now its in Montreal! WHOOT! Should be landing tomorrow or Friday, whenever he gets it. I'm worried about the expiry date of it though, as it's been 2.5 weeks now...

Oh, boy. Congratulations on getting it :)

It shouldn't expire until the earlier of a year from the medical exam or passport expiration date.

Well the medicals expired in Nov, actually the day before we got notice that it arrived in TN. And his passport doesn't expire until 2020 haha

That means that they in all likelihood got a one year extension for his medicals before issuing the CoPR (see http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/medical-exam-validity-extension-for-additional-12-months-new-cic-bulletin-t106229.0.html for details).

I'm so excited for you. :D

Couldn't help but think the delay gave you time to sort out the car so it's all good (and the CoPR isn't burning a hole in your pocket)

Note that the OPs state that the COPR should be valid for at least two months after you receive it or the VO should issue a new one after updating whatever was limiting its lifetime (I think that's in OP 1 where it says "under no circumstances will the expiration date be extended" and then goes on to explain the "except" case.)

I now bow down to ComputerGeek and OhCanadiana :D

My file just got to In-process on Dec 20, can someone please tell me the timeline from In-process to PPR? Via LA Office. Thanks Guys.
