Remember too that mine took 7 months cuz we were missing some info (the proof of our intent to reside in Canada upon approval). So it could be September is the magic month

I would go between 7-9 months lets not forget they got approved faster for Step 1 then a lot of us did...we have to consider the months at step 2! But all in all i'm hoping for the best!

What's the average time for applications out of los angeles? I applied back in May of 2011 but i still haven't gotten any where and they lost my medical exam!

did you try contacting your MP ?
because may 2011.. its already passed the timeline they show on cic for stage 2

I contacted my MP and they said that they can look into but they cant really move anything along. My MP is actually the one that found out that my medical exam had been lost. I'm just not sure what to do now, a form has been filed for them to locate the medical exam but I don't know how long that should take, or if I can just get the medical mailed again...I'm so frustrated and lost at this point

Have you requested your GCMS notes? That would at least tell you if they have found your medicals.

??? Man, I am so sorry to hear about your case! I can't believe it is taking so long!! was there something special about it? if you don't mind me asking.

I wouldn't like the idea of having to pay for them again... but I might just get the medical done again anyway. I mean, at this point you will probably have to anyway since they only last so long anyway.

Got an email on the weekend from the Ottawa pilot stating that my wifes fbi report was not valid. We used a channeler here in the US when we should have gone to the fbi directly. Bummer. At least i know that someone is looking at my wifes application now

Unfortunately obtaining a new fbi report will take time.

I got my Fbi report in 5weeks. seems they do not have much work in there but that is great news that they started with the march applicants atleast

I think ours came in about 5 weeks too. Nothing for it I guess. But you're right, it means someone has spent some time on your file! And that is good news for sure!

I just realized I didn't update here!!

HOWEVER

August 10th, 2012 they started PROCESSING my husbands application! WHOOT!! I'mma happy CDN And I now check like three times a day (Up from once a day haha)
