Los Angeles LVO INFO

Hey guys!

Guess I'm joining you here. Got an email from Mississauga that our file was transferred to Los Angeles on Jan 30th. Haven't received any email or update since then. No changes in GCKEY or ECAS. Have no criminal history or any reason that I can possibly think of for being transferred. Will definitely tell you if I hear something!

I’ll do the same. They seem to be on there own time w very little mandate to correspond to inquiries lol .. We’re definitely on there time.

I read all the post in this topic, i have a question that if the application tranfer to LA that mean they suspect your application and want to have an interview?

For my application, i just got the SA , medical request, Schedule A request. They said they still keep my application at Mississauga Process center. What that mean?

Got an email today from LA that we are being called for an interview and its scheduled for April 18th
 
Received an email from LA VO requesting paperwork already in the file :-/..... we’ll see at least it seems there not sitting on files

Did you guys ever order your notes? I know you had mentioned you didn't know why you were being transferred.. just curious if you ended up finding a reason?

I ordered my notes and yes it did point to the reason of transfer to LA VO. I’m not sure how true this is but I was also told by an IRCC phone agent that every time you order your notes , the agent must stop working on your file? It’s good to see there working on files though pretty quick interview request for all .
 
Finally got a word back from LA VO they stated its going to be at least a month before my file is reviewed LOL annnd somehow there sure they'll need more documents

I wanted to ask, I applied to sponsor my husband of 4 years last september 2016. He is a US citizen and I assuming because of his extensive travels to unpopular places and the fact that he has lived in two other countries his application is taking forever. almost two months ago the file was transferred to the LA office and I still have not heard from them. The last correspondence we have is that we will hear from them within two months. It will be two months next week and we still have not heard anything. What do you think i should do. I have ordered the GCMS notes again and my local MP has been involved for a year.

1.5 years is a long time. I'm sorry you and your husband are in this unfortunate situation. Do you mind stating where exactly do you mean by "unpopular places"? I don't think just an extensive travel history would take this long, nor would it be reason enough for your application to be transferred to LAVO.

Congrats!! We had our interview Wednesday and were approved at the time and give COPR. So excited to finally be done with everything!
