I need help with my criminal rehabilitation application. I was convicted of possession of controlled substance 2nd degree felony. I lived in America, particularly Houston, Texas from the age of 5 to 25. I have been deported in 2013 from America to India. I was sentenced to two years in prison from 2013 to 2015 but got out on good behavior and took the deportation option right away.
I graduated magna cum laude from University of Houston in Accounting in 2010 and am pursuing the CPA license.

I want to file my application now for information only to see where I stand. I need help obtaining all of my information and submitting the application.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!

There's absolutely no point in applying for rehabilitation until the five years have passed.

No, you can apply now and if it was denied you can apply again in the future. You will only be permanently barred if you deliberately lie in your statements or conceal material facts from the assessment.

I second scylla point, you will only be wasting IRCC resources and remember they will not be giving you a break should processing take so long as to pass the remaining portion of 5 years, they will treat it as when it was received to be fair to other applicants.

The option to apply before 5 years is for people who have been charged and later got the charges dropped or dismissed or whom have been acquitted on trial. It also include people whom have been convicted but can show evidence of their factual innocence of the crime or that certain defenses apply to them under Canadian law to shield from criminal culpability but were unavailable to them when they were on trial (for example being forced or in attempt to prevent another crime..etc). And also people who are in fact guilty of something, but inadmissibility does not apply to them because of one or more elements are missing in order to equate it under Canadian law (for example, disqualified driving requires driver's knowledge and official acknowledgment of the ban but in some US states prosecutors don't need to prove this). So basically it's if you think that you would've had a different outcome to your case should you have been prosecuted in Canada under the same circumstances.
