Looking for whatever advice regarding accommodation in toronto

Hi guys,
I am planing to land by the end of August at Toronto. Single, no relatives, never been in Canada. Looking for room with a reasonable price. Any advice for the suitable places where should I settle at the beginning (so I can find a survival job and start looking for a long term job)
Any tips regarding accommodation researches, websites (I have already Airbnb) ?
Feel free to comment and ask or give whatever question/advice
I am really lost and don't know from where to start.

craigslist, kijiji - be careful of scams. Look for short term / sublet / temporary accommodations to start (few months) - you won't get a lease without a job. Toronto has a very competitive rental markets - it's quite possible / likely that you will have to stay in a hotel/hostel when you first arrive.
