Looking for masters in Petro-chemical Engineering

Hi guyzz,

I am final year (8th sem.) chemical engineering student from Gujarat, INDIA. I will be B.E chemical in June - 2014.
I want to study masters in petrochemical in canada.
CGPA of 3rd year is 7.37 / 10 .

Please advice me reputed university and eligibility criteria and please mention admission deadline.

I am not experienced in that field at all, but general advice would be to do google searches
For Canadian universities that offer what you are looking for. I have a vague idea that Thompson Rivers in Kamloops, BC might be a good place to start. Good luck

Most of the Universities have their deadlines around March 15. Some of the reputed universities are Alberta, Toronto, UBC, Ottawa, Ontario, Calgary. You will be needing IELTS/TOEFL for application. Rest you can check on the websites of these universities, they are quite user friendly.

ok about you profile...it is good, if you have any work experience that would be supportive....if you have bakclogs than you might have some problem in getting admission.

there are basically MAIN 2 universities which provide master degree in Petroleum Engineering
University of alberta and University of calgary, these two are very reputed and their cutoff is high.

there is Univeristy of Regina and Dlahousie University which provide petroleum engineering course but they are not much reputed.

HI i had 2 backlogs in 1st sem.
1 backlog was in 3rd sem.

it might be tough cuz its competitive course but dont lose hope, you might get in if you have other good credentials ...and did you mean Memorial University by MNU ??
if yes than i dont know much about it....because its in newfoundland.... but main oil prone province is alberta, so most of the students prefer either UofA or UofC...

if you wanna apply for Fall 14 than you should hurry, deadlines are in MARCH .....and after you submit your documents it takes couple of months to check your documents , so its long process.
