Looking for jobs and make contacts in Toronto

Hey all!

I am completely new to Toronto and am a ECE graduate from Concordia University, Montreal. I am looking to learn more about Toronto's job market and culture of work. I am also willing to make contacts and meet some great minds (virtually at least), and also, get a few tips to be successful in job hunting as I am looking to take my first step in my career. It is pretty hard to find the right job and also, socialise with people, given the global pandemic scenario but I am looking to pull things off and make wonders.

I came to Canada in 2019 and done my Post Graduation Certificate courses at Humber College in Wireless Telecommunications in 2019 and then went forward to complete another Certification in Project Management 2020.

I just wanted to know about TRv application. I submitted my TRv on 16 Jan but havent received update yet. What about you ? When did your eligibility review start prior to getting your trv approved ?

I think both the eligibility review plus the approval happened together. Sometimes they just update it. So you can expect it anytime.

I recently become permanent resident and thinking about to move Alberta from Yukon.

But I am confused that should I wait for any job offer or Should I move first and then start searching for job.

Wouldn't leave a job if you are currently employed. The Alberta economy is especially tough so would only move if you have a job.

Thanks for the guidance buddy, I didn't quit my job yet here in Yukon but I am not getting any response from employers in Alberta. Quite frustrating for me and I will get an offer then I will move there.

There is not a lot of hiring going on especially in Alberta where the economy has been suffering for quite some time.
