Hi,

Position title - Cell Phone Tester

Some of the duties are -

- Scanning cell phones using barcode scanners,
- testing cell phones for software & hardware damages,
- print labels/reports,
- packaging etc

it could be 9483 Electronics Assemblers, Fabricators, Inspectors and Testers

check out the electronics tester title under this category,

but I am not sure cause ur job also includes software testing it could some other NOC code

Just to quickly clarify, if you want to see if a job is good for CEC:

If the first digit is 0, it's a skill type 0 job.

If the first digit is not 0, you look at the 2nd digit:
If the 2nd digit is 0 or 1, it's a skill level A job
If the 2nd digit is 2 or 3, it's a skill level B job.

All of the above are good for CEC.

However, if the first digit is not 0 and the 2nd digit is 4 or higher, it's semi-skilled or low-skilled and no good for CEC.

It is skill type 0 and skill level A. However, because your NOC starts with 0, the 2nd digit is not important. Only if your NOC doesn't start with zero, you have to look at the 2nd digit to find out if it is skilled. thanks everybody m still confused, it could be 9523 Electronics assemblers, fabricators, inspectors and testers (Electronics Tester) or 7246 Telecommunications installation and repair workers(Telecommunications equipment technicians) or 2261 Non-destructive testers and inspection technicians, but i am gonna email hrsdc.

NOC 7246

Telecommunications equipment technicians perform some or all of the following duties:

Install, remove and maintain various telecommunications equipment and related systems such as telex
and facsimile machines, teletypewriters, mobile radios, cellular telephones, pagers and other related
telecommunications equipment

Configure operating systems and install software for access to the Internet

Inspect and test operation of telecommunications equipment

Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment.

NOC 9523

Electronics testers perform some or all of the following duties:

Operate various test equipment and tools to perform simple electrical and continuity testing of electronic components, parts and systems

Set up and operate automatic testing equipment to locate circuit and wiring faults, shorts and component defects

Compare test results to specifications and set parts or products aside for repair or replace components or parts as indicated by test equipment

May conduct life tests (burn-ins) on components, subassemblies and assemblies

Maintain test result reports.



PS - It combines the duties of NOC 2262 and 7246 and the employer advertised it under Electronics equipment repairer category.

Note what I said about skilled jobs above. 9523 is NOT a skilled job and will NOT be accepted for CEC. If you want to apply under CEC, you need your occupation to fall under something that is skilled. If your job could fall under 9523 or 7246, you want it to fall under 7246 which is skilled or 2261 which is also skilled.

My husband got his pr on june 2007 and he stayed there for 6 months in canada and he got back to india in christmas holidays and he unfortunately met with an accident and have to go for ankle implants removed and he was under treatment for severe complication for his ankle.he was in india since the time he got back from canada.now his canada pr expired in june 2012. he came to dubai in sep 2012 because he got his pr in june 2007 from dubai and he is medical fit now with out any complications and he is planning to go back to canada. please suggest if he can get a travel document on H & C grounds , he has all the medical document for last 5 years of his treatment.he is planning to apply for travel document in abu dhabi
