I am heading to Toronto soon, currently in Vancouver. My contacts there who are born Canadians and been living in the GTA for a long enough time told me that the places to avoid are Scarborough, Jane and Finch. Gang activity.

Bro, I personally admit Jane & Finch is a very bad place to live with ur family.
But Scarborough is just not Jane & Finch . Its quite a big place dear.
What is wrong about Ellesmere & Markham Road or Birchmount & Sheppard Ave E.
Can you enlighten more.
