Long wait for PR card - 235 days (8 months) !!

I landed on 17-Oct-2015 and I am still awaiting for my first PR card.
My residential address in Canada was updated in CIC web site within 30 days after landing.

I was asked to resubmit my photograph along with my wife's photograph in March 2016.
The same was submitted and I confirmed that it was received by the PR Processing Office on 09 March 2016 (by Canada Post)

My wife's PR card was received after three weeks from that date, but no luck with my case.
It has been 235 days (8 months) now after landing !!

I had been calling CIC Call Centre regrading this for so many days now and they confirm that my address is correct and file is under processing.
Other than my address they absolutely have no other information and I am completely helpless.

I need to travel on an emergency to India and comeback within one week and when checked in CIC they are providing me the information
regarding the travel document.

My wife and 2 year old son will be all alone if I don't get a travel document back from India.
I am completely shattered by this and I have absolutely no trust to travel without PR card since the delay caused by PR Processing centre.

PRTD processing time will be minimum one week thro VFS India. Now PR card processing time is around 2 months?

Thanks, anyway I am planning to check with Canadian Embassy in India and CIC has shared me the contact details.

Contact your MP and ask them to inquire with CIC.
