Long wait for AOR1 - help needed

My application was received March 15th. On April 6th, we received an email from CIC saying we didn't sign a document and that we should send that document in within 45 days. We sent it in and it was received April 13th. Since then, no word.

They said that once it was received, I would be returned to the queue. Have I been put into the "received April 14th" slot? (Seems unlikely, since that would be no different from returning the whole application.)

I would like to call because this is frustrating me. How do I call from outside of Canada? I just read some old threads that say you can't do that... Then what can I do? I don't have someone in Canada that I would like to do this for me. I saw something about using IRCC web form, but I don't want to wait another month to get an answer to that.

Any advise is appreciated.

I suspect that this is exactly what has happened!

You know they have received both your application pack AND the additional forms. Nothing to do but wait I suggest. All you will do by chasing them at this point is cause yourself effort and stress with no effect on the timescales they would have delivered anyway.

Suggest give it until the end of May.......

I don't think there's anything to be concerned about. Missing/incomplete documents to tend to re-start your waiting time (just like re-submitting the whole application). Also, sometimes CIC won't look at your file again until the 45 days given to submit your document has passed (this is known as the "bring forward date" - meaning that they tag a date to your application in the system and only look at the application again once that date is reached).

Nothing you can do but wait.

Sorry, haven't had time to come back here. I got my AOR on May 7th or someting, so normal waiting time based on my resubmission.
