I will be applying for a pre university course after 3 years of completing my Olevels in (International College Of Manitoba) for the Winter Session. The course's duration is of 8 months and once i pass that course i will be admitted to a degree course at the University of Manitoba. Since there is a 3 year gap after my Olevels i was wondering will my visa get rejected because of this? I turned 19 this year. I didnt pursue my Alevels studies because i was going through depression due to the loss of a family member i was really really close to and my mind just stopped working. I did however started learning Alevel maths by a home tutor. I didnt really do much during those years except teaching two students and learning karate. After getting my black belt i now teach students there too. I gave my SAT exams this year and will give my ielts exam next month. I wanted to mature a bit before starting Uni studies which is also another reason for taking gap year.

Sorry for the long writing but iam really scared about my visa

First of all, I am sorry to hear the rough time you had to go through...

Second of all, you don't have to worry about your gap years... guess how long was my gap time? 14 years, I am 32 years old, married and with a 6 years old son, and I still got my visa. Of course, on the meantime I worked and owned a few businesses related to my future studies. So all you have to do is convince the Visa officer that you are a real student. Don't worry and don't lie, just tell your story and for sure you will be granted a visa!

Hope this helps!

PD. I would love my son and I can be teached karate by you. We are going to Winnipeg, by the way.

Regards, Daniel

Write a strong sop. Mention your case and how you overcame and now you want to move on in your life and make an impressive career. Mention how the course will help you in your career back home and the job prospects after doing tis course back home. Dont mention the karate thing, instead mention that you were self taught during the gap and tutored students during these years. Maybe, we can connect as I am also going to University of Manitoba for fall 17 for graduate studies.

Check you inbox, I have sent you a personal message. To answer your question, it all depends upon the country from where you are applying. The processing time is different for different countries. For a complete answer, I would need to know your complete profile. Your grades in high school, your course in ICM and what all should you write in SOP. Reply on the message if thats fine. Glad to help.

When to submit SOP. In India, we submit it alOng with the application for both online and offline procedures. For online, you submit sop in the place of letter of explanation.
