Long Delays in getting work permit

Hi.
I applied for my work permit on February 5, 2017. Usually, everyone gets it within 30 days after applying. It's been almost 2 months for me that I am not getting one. Already I have been delayed once for joining of my new job since I was not having my work permit. My status on cic website says that it's in progress. But it's stuck there only from past 2 months. Kindly please reply if someone can guide me with this.

Please search for "Canada Check application processing times" on google. Go to the first result and filled it accordingly to see the processing times. I cannot post links.

There are 2 things to note - the date of the applications being processed and the number of days to process. These values are updated weekly.
As far as I can see CIC is currently processing apps received on Feb 1, 2017. So they will 'start' processing your app next week. Once CIC has started processing your app, it will take it on average the specified number of days to reach a decision.

For example, in your case it may take 7 days (because processing starts next week) + 36 days(number of days to process currently). Also I am assuming these are calendar days and not business days.

I applied on jan 26th and got mine last week. Their processing times vary sometimes its 30 days and sometimes 34days but if they are processing feb 1st applicant's now yours should get processed next week. And 1 week max to get in the mail
