Should I get thumb impression on my children's passport and mine signed before ssending the copies to LVO?

As far as copies are concerned only bio data page copies need to send but no harm in sending the signature page too. Yes you should sign your passport and children below 12 should put their left hand thumb impression in designated box.

i am quite worried about my ppr1 as we did our medicals in feb12 and new born on sep12.I have sent csi to Lvo and they replied me as below:
"Your application is in process or waiting to be reviewed by an immigration officer. No further action is required by you at this time."
When will i receive ppr1?

The only thing you can do at this stage is wait with patience. Sometimes security checks take longer than normal but soon you'll get good news. Don't send multiple CSE's as it may irritate VO. Once in a month would be Ok. Keep your fingers crossed.
