Thank you. I wish everyone the best, including you. Everyone has waited a long time, but due to personal reasons, if I don't get the PPR soon, I might not be able to avail the chance of going to Canada later. So it has to be now. Yet, somehow, I have never been lucky before, so I think this time too something will go wrong.

When was the last time you sent a CSE? I emailed them to ask abt my daughter's medical and also how long our medical is valid for.. and they responded in two days.. said that her MR will be sent within august and the med has been assessed and is valid till 8th march 2013.. so that at least gave me a sign that the meds are in the clear.

Thank you! I am grateful for everyone's concern and encouragement. I did send them a CSE. I got a reply on 9th July that Background checks were still being conducted. In my utter frustration today I sent them another CSE, even though I know full well that one should not send too many. But what have I to lose, huh? If they are not sending it anyway, might as well let off steam by sending an enquiry. Let's see what this week brings (if anything!)

I hope your VO is more polite than mine because in my frustration I sent a CSE yesterday afternoon as well. The last reply I had from them was 9th July, same as yours, saying BC were still ongoing. However, today I got a reply to yesterday's CSE but it was very curt: We don't reply to repeat emails. This has upset me even further. What are we to do? Not even ask after 4 and a half months about where we stand??
Now I am worried whether my processing will be adversely affected because of my CSE. Another worry!!

Well i m still in wait for that curt one........lolzzz.. don't worry Beckett....its their duty to respond to inquiries.......no matter how many they are n what sort of inquiries......n my observation is that our file is delt by two personals..one might be analysis officer (VO who do analysis and review our submitted dox and approve or reject that).....the other one is Responder VO who deals with us regarding the updates with regards to our case......
BTW how much cruel they would be.......They have already delayed our cases for years......so have some patience n wait for our right time.....Insha Allah.

I have been reading to the above posts and can feel and undestand the frustration. My elder sister applied in 1004, did not get her visa yet despite of med done two times, my other sister applied in 2011 and got her med in March and also got her PPR 2. I am also waiting for my son's med as I also got my med done in march. it is just the matter of luck I guess. I had sent a CSE in the begining of this month and got reply saying "Please be advised that we will be corresponding in due course". I am also curious where does my application stand?? BC done or what???? Suggestions please((

Since you sent a CSE a month back, you can 'safely' send another one to enquire about your son's meds (I am assuming that is the correspondence they were talking about sending you 'in due course'). As to PPR, really, I have NO idea what is taking them so very long for March meds.

I personally would prefer them working on our applications than responding to e-mails which are more often than not just templated responses.

I appreciate the wait is a complete and utter disgrace but the system they are working to is completely broken and they have admitted it. Hence the pause to the MI5 application stream.

There is another opportunity that will slip by because I am waiting for this to happen every hour of every day. And if I grab that one, then my Canadian dream is gone forever.

You are very right. You have enough on your plate already to be worried about hurting someone's feelings. These are just opinions we are flipping about, nothing else. The forum is a good place to let off steam so let us cut each other some slack.

MightyEchoes there are no hurt feelings it just sounded as if you saying that if you send them an enquiry they are duty bound to respond irrespective of how many you have sent them. I do agree that after 3-4 months after taking your medicals and not to have heeard boo to a goose would more than justify a CSE. It only becomess a problem (in my eyes) when you are sending them a constant stream of CSE's.

I really don't know how many MI1&2 applicants have been so patient. I have a serious case of ants in my pants and my app hasn't been waiting anywhere near as long as some of the others.
