You're just a few days from completing your 4 weeks without passports, right. What's the status on your ECAS?

CONGRATS! Did it change today?

Just heard back from Qorax on another forum (track through my recent posts) confirming that DM status appears AFTER the visas have been stamped. So that's wonderful news Lovie... congrats again!

yep , it changed today , checked just now .

I was just wondering about " Decision made " remark, coz when you go into details , it says if decision made is your status then it could mean three things: Medical Results Received by CIC
We have received your medical results. We will contact you only if additional tests are needed.

Approval Status Determined
Your application will be either approved or rejected. We will inform you of the decision in writing.

Permanent Residence Status Determined
If your application is approved, we will send you your permanent resident documentation and a letter saying what we need to finalize your permanent residence.

Copied the above from E case , so if we go by this it means that there is not 100 % surety that passports have been stamped, right ? Or am I understanding this wrong ??

What's your take on it ??

Ahh, same anxieties that I've been through lately. Based on the feedback from Qorax to a couple of enquiries I floated across, it means 'visa granted' and PP should be on its way back now!

Simply, tally the 3rd point against the first paragraph on your PPR letter... makes logical sense to me! RIGHT?

Sometimes I do feel yes, they seem to have been all sorted out... but most of the times NO! Probably getting to see the PPs back with visas will help.

So, LVO sends the PPs to CHC Abu Dhabi, where from they're dispatched locally via Aramex. Makes sense as couriering docs locally will be much cheaper than sending them via courier from London.

I assume a bulk of PPs get sent from various diplomatic missions altogether - LVO included - (don't know the frequency, but probably every fortnightly?) and then they're handed over to the local courier company. Hence, around 2 weeks from visa stamping until they're delivered - depending on how close or far have the PPs been stamped from LVO's next dispatch date.

What do you think?

Yes , I did read somewhere, don't remember where now, that LVO dispatches passports in bulk , once every 2-3 weeks and they are further sent locally via Aramex.

So I am thinking, going by your timeline, your passport was stamped i think within 3 days of receiving it , so there could be a possibility that it was done to send it ASAP with the next scheduled dispatch :)

Too optimistic... but I like it, of course! :)

Then I wonder why would they take longer to stamp your passport, when it was delivered on 28th July (I guess). Fun guessing how LVO works... I am sure people at LVO itself have this fun too... LOL :)
