I aslo done Medical in May 2016... Medical Line updated on Ecas around Mid of June... Please let me know, how much time they took to sent you Passport resquest?
Any idea about my case ?

It takes a month or two .. Soon you will get your PPR .

Congrats dear, My App date is more or less similar to yours, hope i get some good news as well, You mentioned RFI in earlier emails. what sort email conversation you did before getting MR. I sent many CSE to CIC but received reply only for the 1st one and none after that.
 
I was shuffling through my GCMS notes of end July 2016.

Noted one thing that there was one Activity as Activity No.26 and it mentions as "Abu Dhabi Interview One Slot" and Group number is also mentioned 1-704F4RP. And this activity was updated on 1st of July 2016. Don't know what is the reason for the interview update at this stage. But there are no other notes given. Also Visa Officers remarks are absent from the file. Does anyone have any explanation of this strange attitude of LVO.

Another strange aspect that I have noted under this activity that all of my stages like Eligibility, Criminality, Security has been changed to Not Started. Except Medical which is passed and in that also one of family members medical is In Process. Although everything was previously passed. Strange thing. Don't know what is happening with my file or at LVO.

Does anyone has any explanation.

Culprit is DRD.

Had you checked the last summary notes. What are mentioned under these notes?

I received today an email from LVO requested several documents (residency card , pcc of home and residency country , work contract , updated proof of funds , military service booklet ) my question is what is the military service booklet ? And for how long the proof of funds considered recent or valid ?

Brother Visa Officer's notes are hidden. Therefore there isn't any reason found in all the 84 pages that I have received. Initially there are three Eligibility Assessments which are all written as "Met". But I don't know that what is the Activity and there are several activities which contains vague data.

Finally have received passports with Visa Stamp almost 2 years after applying....Alhumdulillah.
Just wondering if anyone here is aware of any thread discussing the landing procedures.
All the best to those still in queue.

In 1st or second page there is assessments as heading. What are the values of it, in progress or not started or?

For me eligibility, medical and criminality are passed but security is hidden under s15 (1). my previous notes were before medical so all values as not started.
 
Dear All,

I am an Egyptian Citizen working & living in the U.A.E as a Petroleum Engineer. I applied to immigrate to Canada back in December 2014 as a Federal Skilled Worker ( Submitted to the LONDON VISA OFFICE)

In February 2015: I got a response that the my application was received.

On 30 March 2016 : CIC requested the following :

a) Military Certificate with my status ( I'm exempted ) .

b) Police certificate (since the certificate I submitted back in 2014 was expired).

I submitted the required papers on 20th of April 2016 and I got a response by the 22nd of April 2016 with the following message , and I quote :

"
Dear Mahmoud,

Thank you for your email.

We acknowledge receipt of the documents attached in your email below. Please note that your application has been updated accordingly.

The file is currently undergoing background checks. Please be advised that there are various checks that a file may need to undergo during the application process. We will contact you if/when further information is required.

We appreciate your patience during this process.


Yours sincerely,

EXP

Immigration and Medical Services Division "

And I am waiting since that date..........

My question is : Is there any rule of thumb or a "Maximum" time that one receives a reply regarding his background checks status? I have tried to check online but the status has not changed yet.

Your help is greatly appreciated.
