I have confirmed from the hospital that everything is fine alhmdulellah also i sent them copy of receipts as a proof on the second day

You can expect ecas update / PPR anytime. There is a lot of variance for LVO applicants. My 'medical received line' updated on Friday after 85 days.

Also, medical update is just a formality and relaxes the applicant, since many cases have been reported where PPR has been received without prior to ecas medical update.

Since your hospital has confirmed, so no need to worry. Relax and pray Good luck !

I am August applicant; DRD is giving response to my CSE since October " Routine Back Ground Checks in progress.."

Hey Friends !

Two questions

1. we are four family members any minimum amount to be carried along with us whilst landing for the first time, do they check the fund requirement as on the website it should be around 23,00 CAD.

2. we are landing at Toronto so insurance for first three months, anyone can suggest good insurance company or we can take AIG travel insurance.

When you are planning to land, as most of the applicants who landed recently suggest buy only after landing ,it will take max two days to get your medical insurance.

Secondly, increase your fund limit since market is not doing good.

If I am not mistaken, passport size pictures will be good. Others please confirm.

Alhamduililah I got PPR yesterday at 3 pm. Thanks for all your prayers and guidance. Hope this week brings more good news to more people. ! My brief timeline:

application: August 2014
Interview, PCC, RPRF and medical: Oct 2015
ECAS medical update: Friday 22 Jan 2016
PPR: 25 Jan 2016.

I would like to ask you what documents to be given when we are going to receive the passport back with visa.

Another question my son is holding a USA passport and as per the instruction he is not required any visa to enter CANADA so what documents to be received for him.
