The update in my case that i sent e-mail to RFI to inquire about the status of my last week (and this is the first time) the next day I received his reply as:

Thank you for your e-mail

Background checks are currently ongoing on your file. We will be in touch as soon as we have an update for you.

So i dont know is it a good sign of bad. :-\ :-\
 
Its definitely a good sign that they are processing your application.. not waiting in queue...

Finally Submitted the Passport to Canadian Embassy for Stamping.. :).. This Journey of getting the PR is going to end soon and the beginning of new life will start.

Hope to get the passport back from the Embassy soon.. Guys, any advise how many days it will take to get it back with stamp?

I would like to say something which I realize today while sitting at the embassy, it would have been complete dark situation and I would have been clueless about the application stages & processing timelines if this forum was NOT there. This forum connects people together across the globe and brings the feeling of togetherness when we see people helping each other.

I was asked by DRD to send last three pay slips and bank statement on 8th oct'15 and i have sent these docs on 9th oct'15. No updates after that, i have raised CSE today and asked them for the acknowledgement of docs and also the next step. This is the CSE i have raised after 2 months, hope it is not too frequent.

Can you please tell us that is this was the first email DRD sent you for the additional documents or DRD asked you before as well ?????

This was the first email from DRD. However, on my previous CSEs MXH was the visa officer who responded me

DRD asked for the PCC for self and spouse on 14/09/2015 and i have sent it on 17/09/2015 and as per DHL ack they received on 21/09/2015 but after that no email from DRD and no acknowledgment from as well. Even i have explained my one Genuine issue to him as well that if he process my case bit early then i might will get a job there as well but after that he didn't even reply my mail. I am really surprised that why DRD is not even bother to reply the mail.

I agree with you, the communication attitude of this visa officer is very casual. The email he wrote to me was in a very casual manner. I am also awaiting for his acknowledgement for the docs i have sent him, even though it was requested in my email.
 
Hi,

I have a situation. For which I am happy but worried as well.

Actually, We come to know that My wife is 2.5 months pregnant after booking my tickets(Jan 2016) to Toronto so She will be 5 months pregnant by then.

I am happy because new member is coming to join us soon and worried because I am not sure How I can get medical services for my wife from day 1.

I heard that Toronto provides Medical cover for pregnant women from day one but i am unable to find this anywhere on authorized website.


It will be great help if someone can help/guide me “which is the best option to give her medical services in Canada from Day 1?”

Any kind of information regarding it will be much helpful

Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin.
By the Grace of Almighty Allah, today got my PPR from LVO.

Indeed the wait was painful but trust me patience is key . I would like to thank all of you .Indeed this is a wonderful forum and all of you are wonderful guys.
