On 25th Sep I received a document request which I sent on 30th Sep for which I received a reply the very next day stating that they have received the information and they will contact again whenever they are able to. I would like seniors to comment that what would be the next step? Will it be medical and rprf request?? If yes then how long is it going to take?

Background & Security Checks

Note: Our Background Check comprises of 2 parts:
1. The Standard Documentation Checks,
2. The Security & Criminality Checks.

Standard Documentation Checks:
Our background check is done at the LVO stage. It commences the moment our file gets the 1st review by the LVO. An indicator of which is the e-CAS that shows "In Progress". All docs been checked & our NOC being tallied against the MI, if the LVO finds our case 'eligible' for Canadian PR, the file becomes 'Accepted'; and then it goes for standard background checks, viz. Experience, Qualifications, Adaptability, Qualitative Considerations etc.

The process involves many things. If our case file is well presented and the enclosures vouch the quality-quantity, adequate POF docs etc., there might not be a requirement of 'actually' calling the employers, references etc. The LVO have a way with that, they are experienced enough to ascertain the logical disposition of our case. But, if there are any concerns of his/her, s/he is likely to ask for additional docs, do further scrutiny via any means [calling, visiting etc.] & might ask for an Interview.

-Culmination: When 'fully' satisfied, we get the 'Medical Request'.
-Time-frame: Can be anything around 4-9* months, (Avg. 5-6 months).
-eCAS: Continues to Show 'In Process'.

Security & Criminality Checks:
A part of the b/ground checks is the 'Security Check'. It commences after our med results are submitted to the LVO. This is a major activity -mainly concerning our 'safe inclusion' into the Canadian Soil; vs-a-vis, Political, Socioeconomically, Anti-Social disposition, perceived Threat to Canada's integrity etc. This gets us the SDEC, CDEC & SECCRIM.

This is a serious & time-consuming stage, involving many agencies, including CSIS, Interpol, NASC, Database Checking & touch-base with Local Police. Many things are considered here... the No. of countries visited, Applicant coming from 'certain' countries, ex-Servicemen [including Law Enforcement services], Prolonged stay in a country w/out sufficient docs to prove cause, frequent traveling to certain nations, your *Name (?), Inter-Religion/Nationality Marriages etc.

If everything is simple & straight, the file soon gets into the 'final review' stage. If there are any 'red flags', our case goes into a 'spin'. Then our file might go to the local Police/CID agencies; the outcome/time-frame of which is beyond the control of CIC. And thereby the time-frame can be anything [sometimes beyond 1yr]. But, usually this stage should be over by 5 months max. However, a point to be noted is that we can also be called for an Interview [at this stage], due to this reason.

-Culmination: Only upon security clearance we receive the PPR.
-Time-frame: Around 3-7 months. Avg. 3 months. [sometimes PPR is clubbed with Medicals]
-eCAS: Still 'In Process', but 'Medicals Results Recd.' inside.
So this how the Process works in a Nutshell:

Dear,
I had the same scenario.
I renewed my passport 5 months before they expired. Then waited for over a month.
When LVO sent me MR email, with request to update forms and pay RPRF,
then i scanned and sent copies of the new passport, the updated forms and RPRF receipt by email, (and wrote that i renewed them).
Then use the new passports for MR, and PCC.
If PCC is already sent, don't redo it. (don't worry they will update it in their system)

Best of Luck.
I hope it helps

Thanks ALL of you frineds. i will do it . ;) ;) ;) :) :) :)

Sorry for updating the late info:

I got my MR on September 25, 2015 (On Eid day)

VO is LBM

Fortunately I received the medical date from IOM Karachi for September 29, 2015

Message received from IOM Karachi that me and wife have to for Sputum Test for three days. As you members are aware that is takes 90 days to clear out this process hence PPR will be in the new year Inshallah.

One question from seniors:

May I reduce my bank balance now????

Once again sorry for late info
