Dmirly,

Background check is part of the PR process. Under background check, along with other important checks, security and criminality checks are done to ensure appropriate admissibility. PCC is the key instrument for this check. So anyone must submit same and wait for the result which at least takes 1-4 months.

Yes, I know others who submitted PCC before, without receiving request from LVO, it will work simultaneously. I enquired to LVO, got reply as well.

I suggest send it quickly, with the cover letter and mention UCI on envelope too. You won't regret!

Sheray,

LVO takes long time on background checks, I also waited since 19-Dec. If you have submitted everything right, no need to worry, you will hear from them soon.

I am having faith in Allah. Every VO is having some sort of movement but the only VO for which there's nothing seen is RFI. Anyhow we have to wait with patience and that is what I am doing keeping faith in Allah.

lol yah thats childish act is because i raise to CSE's to LVO 13 and 26 july respectively but they didnt reply though .. well my point is clear thanks for telling about this IME generation

I submitted KSA PCC along with application, but I didn't submit for my home country until I got request for Schedule A update. I then informed the VO that I have my home country PCC and that I will send it once it is requested, immediate response came to send it!
 
Hello all,

I read on forum that people who have received their visas do short landing, then come back and then after some months go there permanently.

I have a question for all those who are doing short landing:

1. What is the advantage of doing short landing,come back and then go back in a few months time if your visa is not expiring soon.
2. Once visa is issued, I don't think decision will change? so why the hurry?

Would appreciate advice.

Actually he wants to say that submit your PCC i.e. police clearance certificate.

Applicant has to land with in one year from the visa issue or till the date mentioned on visa (Shorter due to various other reasons).
if one does not land with in mentioned period thier PR gets expired. Furthermore you dont become PR till you land. You may be turned down at airport due to any rare unfortunate senario.
Usually it does not happen.

Once you become PR you have few more years; i think approx another 2 years before you return. Any more than that you may have difficulty renewing your PR.

Why do people do shortlanding ? because people have jobs; source of income outside canada. It takes time to relocate.

im supposed to be for medicals but the forms are missing. i raised 2 CSE and they replied to attend CIIP...

anybody has encountered forms missing? and how long does it take for the forms to be sent? its been 2 weeks now since medical request.
