I just received an email to resubmit the Schedule A/Background Declaration form .... does this signify that MR is close by or not really ?? i did not want to get my hopes up for no reason ??

Yes it might be the case as they require schedule A form to conduct background verifications. Submitt it as soon as possible and hope u will receive MR within days

Not always the case.

I have been requested to update the schedule A form in 17/3/2015, updated the same on 24/3/2015 nothing until now :

MR no communication.

I sent 2 PCC with application and they didn't request for the 3rd PCC, I informed them in an email that I have the 3rd PCC, then I got email to submit it along with updated schedule A form.

I sent an email by the end of April to confirm that PCC was received and reply was "Yes" and I nothing to do from my part, they will contact as soon they are able to.

Now I am waiting and waiting.

I havent sent PCC with my application.. my consultant is saying she will ask for it when she want and usually it happens when background and security checks are going on..
also one member has got the same answer from his VO but still I pray to get MR soon!

Yes it's normal , no need to worry, just go and do your Medicals , can you please tell us who is your Visa officer (the 3 letter initials on the email you recived)

My visa officer is KKB, thanks for the positive reply, yes medical appointment is booked on this Friday.

Good Luck buddy , Medicals are very simple process , just make sure that you sent the proof of completion to you Visa officer after doing it

NOC code 2172 MR?

Hello forum members. Please has anyone who applied to LVO under noc 2172 received MR. The last update I tracked from the spreadsheet at fsw.info says this code last received MR in June last year.
Some noc codes are getting preference than others.

my time lines are application received in NS on 2.12.2014
Per 18.02.2015 been quiet now.

since I am expecting PPR soon and in the same time planning for my family vacation,,, I would like to understand whether passport submission via VFS needs any biometrics so my wife needs to be there or just sending passports so I can do it myself

RIH,LBM,VCM, RFI etc are not Visa Officers actually. They are program assistants assigned to a Visa Officer. Their JD is actually this:

Under general supervision of an officer and working as part of a team, provides multi-tasked support services to the Immigration section. Communicates and assists clients to understand the immigration application process/requirements and enable their compliance. Monitors, tracks and analyzes applications and identifies shortcomings at various stages, records, updates and verifies information in departmental information systems. Makes recommendations on applications to officers based on established legislation and policies. Manages correspondence in the office and decides on appropriate action, drafting routine correspondence to client and other stakeholder enquiries and/or referring the issue to an officer, as appropriate. Arranges and participates in meetings, both internal and external, and/or provides logistical support for events. Accesses departmental information systems to support information gathering for the processing of applications. Utilizes automated tools such as personal computers, photocopiers, scanners, fax machines and telephones to facilitate application processing. Translates and interprets written and verbal information as required.
