According to my observation LBM and BWJ are the fastest and LBM at least replies to me within a day or two..

Dear All,

Does anybody have any idea on how to apply for Police Certificates from Oman (Muscat)? I had stayed in Muscat from 2003-2005 and currently based in Kuwait.

Please if someone can guide me on the process of acquiring a PCC from Muscat for ex-residents. I have checked and aware of what's written on the the CIC website. I just need some personal advice if anybody have applied PCC from Muscat lately and familiar with the process.

For Foreigners Staying Outside The Sultanate:

A letter from the applicant, indicating their name and mail address.
Two photographs (4 x 4)
Copy of the passport including the pages containing the previous residence stamp during the applicant’s residence in Oman .
Transfer the fees of US $12.00 (Not Cheque \ Draft) or equivalent thereof in the Directorate General of Inquires and Criminal Investigations' account no. 3106-453888-500, Oman Arab Bank, Qurum Branch, swift code (OMABOMRU).
Submit by express mail confirmation of the depositing together with the application to the Director of Criminal Evidence, Directorate General of Inquires and Criminal Investigations, Royal Oman Police, P.O BOX , 446 Muscat ,113 Sultanate of Oman

Wish you all the best dear. I am also desperately waiting for PPR2. Do you have any knowledge if our Omani driving license will be useful in Canada? Is their any paper work we require from here before we leave Oman. I have heard we need a letter from some where which proves we have more than two years experience of driving. Any idea who will give it or from where to get it?

Bro as far as my knowledge is concerned if your license have an issue date then you do not need that experience letter. But if in your license no issue date then you need. But in Oman all DL have issue date so no need. For safe side you take International DL from Oman Automobile association which is located near Golden Tulip Hotel. Because with this you can drive Canada for 60 to 90 days depends on province to province.

I raised the CSE as i am an July applicant didn't receive any update after PER .j got the reply.
It has been determined that an interview will be required you will be advice of date and time in due course.this likely to b in 12 months. What does this means?

What is your NOC and when did u apply in july and how many time you had raised CSE and who was replying you on CSE??

I applied PR in December 2014 in which I consider my Adaptability points for my Uncle who is a Canadian national to fulfill my required points. My uncle is my mothers real brother. To fulfill this requirement I suppose to provide birth certificates of both to prove the mutual father of both.I am from Pakistan.But at that time our Government really don't provide birth certificates. To prove this relationship I provide SSC school certificates of both with mutual father. I already got PER email, but now I got Government family registration certificate to prove mutual father of both.
My file is already in queue for process in local visa office. I need suggestion that should I provide this certificate as an additional document as a proof of relationship or I have to wait for further instructions from VO? I am a bit confuse in this case

As per my knowledge Canada accepts SSC Certificate as an alternative to Birth Certificate. Therefore, you dont really need to provide any further proof. However, for your satisfaction you may raise a CSE and include a scan copy of the FRC. Hope this helps. Good luck for the remaining process.

Hello Seniors,
I need some clarification, I am October 2014 applicant with PER in Feb 2015. My second line in ECAS is not updated yet; neither I received any document or medical request. What if my wife is pregnant at the time of medical request, would she be able to undergo medicals along with me? Or we both have to wait for medicals till the baby birth? At what time we should inform VO about this?

My third line was updated on 16-Apr-2015. So hope fully within a week to 10 days after medical your 3rd line will be updated. Plus in addition to MR, LVO had also requested for PCCs and copy of passport bio pages from me which they received on 23-Apr-2015 and since then I am waiting for PPR. I would assume within 3 to 4 weeks after your third line update you will get PPR. Good luck
