I ve got Medical instructions email today.. can any one please guide me how to book appointment at IOM Karachi ?

what r the charges??

Any guide line tht can be helpful for successful outcome?

Congrats first up. As for booking an appointment with IOM karachi sub office is concerned, forget about phone lines as more often than not, you won't get any response. So here is the straight forward method which i used.

Send an email to CANMEDPK @ iom.int providing details such as your UCI No., Your name, Date of Birth, Passport No, Visa Category etc and ask for an appointment. They will probably give a date which will be 2 weeks ahead of their response email. They normally respond within 24 hours. Charges are Rs. 6,720/- per adult payable in cash. Don't know about children.

Do obtain Polio vaccination certificate from a Government Hospital as IOM will ask for it.

Just eat healthy food, avoid spicy and junk food and of course drink lots of water. Avoid smoking (if you are used to it)

Yes I raised CSE about some documents sent after per for which I received confirmation from RFI but nothing mentioned about process.

One of my friend got responses from RFI...he was asked for further docs and once he sent...within 2 weeks he got MR this month.

I got my medical request on March 17th, and did my medicals on March 21st.

I still have not received any passport request yet. Is that normal? What is the average waiting time?

My VO is London, and the officer is KKB.

Please check with your medical center whether they uploaded the results or not.

actually i just got an email from london on my query

"l medical results are now showing as received and assessed.

The last requirement is completion of routine background checks. We cannot at this stage determine when the checks will be completed but are monitoring them and will advise once they are complete."


however the 3rd line is not updated yet on ecase?

1- does received and assessed mean the results are okay?
2- so questions i have in mind, how long does the background check take?
3-is the visa valid for entry a year from the date of the medical request, or medical done, or medical updated by CIC?

Hi,

No i'm in Dubai.. the process is straight forward, just look on the approved medical/doctors on cic website in saudi and book and go, when you book make sure that the doctor has emedicals system with CIC as some doctors do it pn paper manually and send it by post and some just do it online which is faster.

No they will continue the checks.. when was your 2nd line updated? Mine was updated last month
