8) A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision. :-*

While my passport is still with the Embassy :o.

Good morning everyone.

I just want to ask those who are planning to do a short landing and planning to come back to UAE these questions.

What are your preparations regarding your return ticket. Do you have any reservation/intention "not" to show it to the Immigration Officer?
I heard that returning after a short landing may give the impression that we are only after for the PR card and not really settling in Canada
thus could be the reason for a possible denial of entry. Is it true?

Since its a short landing, we intend that PR cards will be couriered here in UAE, is this a ok?

For those who have done this, please share your experiences..

Many Thank :D

Since its a short landing, we intend that PR cards will be couriered here in UAE, is this a ok? I would advise leaving your family there to collect them. And you come back. This is what I am going to do. I know of two of my acquaintances who didn't agree to courier the PR cards.

For those who have done this, please share your experiences..

Many Thank :D

I have same concerns too...

As per my first hand information, sometimes off and on they do ask to show the ticket...

I am also confused, i am looking to get the personal experience of any recently landed person who can give a first hand information or could share experience of those in their contacts... What were they asked by immigration officer and whether they were also asked to show the ticket n question that is this your permanent landing or a short visit?

Thanks sk1979 for the info.

I do agree that its on the safer side if one member stays to collect and bring back the PR cards to UAE.
My concern though is we can not stay longer than a month. To do so would mean one has to quit job since neither employer would
agree for a very long vacation.

We plan to stay in UAE till 2016 and then do the final landing.

I know someone who had her PR card couriered here in UAE and to my knowledge she had no issue.

Am confused :-\

Anyone had the same plan as ours? Please share....

As per my data analysis of RIH, he is busy in processing of files for those applicants who received PER in October and November and least time taken by this visa officer to send MR is 95 days and Max 173 days.

This is based on limited data available with me.

thanx for reply, I'm 9 January PER, Let's wait!

I know someone who had her PR card couriered here in UAE and to my knowledge she had no issue. Lucky her. It's unfortunate for me instead :(. As I am traveling during school holidays therefore I have no issues leaving my family there for couple of months.

Am confused :-\

Anyone had the same plan as ours? Please share.... Well! many people had done this so should not be an issue for you. I was just sharing my latest encounters with my 'acquaintances'.
