What address is to be written on the electronic RPRF receipt? I've a different residential and mailing address. I'm gonna write mailing address on the 'Updated Information Chart'. Plz guide.

By the grace of Almighty, my ECAS status changed to Decision Made on 17th Feb 2015 however, my passport were sent on 4th Feb but DM updated yesterday.

New Photo Requests:

As far as I know, the specifications of the photograph hasn't changed since our application (ie since 2013). So why is LVO requesting for new photographs?

Some explanations:

1. I think they are requesting photographs from those applicants who have children listed in their application. As we know the facial features of children changes very quickly. If this is true only applicants with children will get photo requests. But again, i dont see any point in LVO requesting photographs for every family member, they could request only the children's photographs.

2. It is possible that VO wants the photo to be 6 months or less in age for all applicants. If this is the case, then all the applicants whose applications are 6 months or more will get photo request. This is most likely the case.

3. ............ (dont know)... what you guys think?

In my case both 1 and 2 applies..

Are u sure your initial photos are according to specifications? I received photo request & I realised the photos sent initially were canadian passport photo specification. I suggest everyone who receives photo request to compare the photo sent with the new specification. You may wonder if all May to Aug applicant had the right photos? maybe or maybe not! they might have been over looking it but at a point decided to ask for new photos. As regards other visa offices, they might still be overlooking theirs, I pray LVO won't set such pace for others to follow.

LVO doesnt have proper pattern of working may june july applicants are still waiting for MR.i think applicants from pakistan are suffering alot.

MR depends on the complexity of your application. Some applications can be analysed and proven in a month or less while some can take longer. Eg those May applicants just getting MR now means their application has just been concluded on- not that it has been abandoned and LVO jumped it, but investigations and clarity are been sort. So I suggest if your case is taking longer than normal, keep praying and hoping that whatever is confusing the visa officer should be cleared and it can also be criminal clearance.

When I checked the SS today I feel Pakistan are more favoured by LVO.

Thanks for this suggestion. What is LVO's email address? Do they have more than one email depending on the purpose for which we contact them?

The email is " LDNIMMIGRATION @ international.gc.ca ". I have only used this email address to contact them. Once you send an email you receive an automatic acknowledgement email saying that your email has been received.

Thanks for the explanation but i tried best to keep application simple and to the point i hope that criminality check also going on bec i sent pcc with application .i hope to hear MR soon

I am 12th may applicant and so far every thing is going smooth just waiting for PPR 2

Received my GCMS notes yesterday and was amazed to see security and criminal process hasn't started yet and rest of all checks (including medical) that happens at VO level was cleared in Oct also they received PCC in Oct so I think we better come out of this illusion that security and criminal checks are delaying the process, its something else unknown that is putting our app on hold

I have applied on Jan 27 and waiting still.

Can you share your major finding in the notes for the delay?

I received GCMS notes on exactly the 30th day but I applied directly not through visafile.info
