Hello Everyone.

Today, I received another email from CIC London.

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

We are now ready to issue your permanent residence visas. Please find a letter attached with full instructions on how to submit the required documentation.

We look forward to receiving the documents and passports within 30 days of the date of this email.

So, I believe this is PPR2 now. In an attachment, they are asking for:

i) original passports
ii) 2x passport sized photos with white background
iii) Updated Information Chart.

Thanks a million... by the Grace of Allah Almighty, I have finally reached this stage after a long wait.

Hi Guys,
I need your help in the following:
1- When we reach the stage of DM, does it mean that all procedures are done (security check and background clearance etc...)?
2- Why there is a period of time between PR1 and PR2 (received PR1 and still waiting for PR2)?
3- Someone told me that during the period between PR1 and PR2 LVO prepare the landing papers is it true?
4- Do they inform the applicant about a negative decision?

Many Thanks and Best wishes

yes2- Why there is a period of time between PR1 and PR2 (received PR1 and still waiting for PR2)?
PPR 1 is when applicant need to submit updated information chart & passport photcopies, PPR2 when applicant submits original passport to embassy. It only applies if your visa office is outside the country of residence (For UAE Applicants, visa office is London- they get PPR1- passport copy submission to london and PPR2 -original passport to abu dhabi)Your visa office need to share the information/instruction to embassy for your visa issuance.
3- Someone told me that during the period between PR1 and PR2 LVO prepare the landing papers is it true?
With visa stamping paper, COPR(Confirmation of permanent residence) is issued which you need while landing and for future record, where ever applicable4- Do they inform the applicant about a negative decision?
Of-course
Many Thanks and Best wishes

It varies, but hopefully soon, as LVO is targeted to finalize all previous applications (2010), Keep your fingers crossed.

Good Luck

We stopped waiting until 3 months ago when we received the various requests including the medicals. And now the wait is keeping us anxious. Hopefully we get an answer soon too

When i checked the "in process" status table on CIC website, it comes after "visa office eligibilty review complete" tab.

can you explain this; where do u check this ?

It is on the same page where you see your ECAS status. There is table which define the each status level
